Baghdad witnessed laying the foundation stone of the largest tourist hotel in Iraq, including 550 rooms and twenty-six floors and cost150 $ million.
The governor of Baghdad at a ceremony on the occasion said that the Government of the DC current is currently working in order to develop Baghdad city in every way where everything is working for the urban upgrading them to be the same level to capitals of developed countries.
The hotel will be in the form of two towers at a cost of 150 $ million and for 30 months This project aims to fill part of the shortcomings suffered by Baghdad-class hotels and excellent contribution to the development of tourist activity which provides excellent service to tourists and visitors to the Iraqi capital, a way to increase movement of businessmen and company owners and activating the role of tourism in Iraq.
This project is a developed investment project of highest standard and will include a 26-storey hotel set according to the results of laboratory tests for soil site to be established by the hotel. The hotel will include 550 rooms will be the adoption of modern technological methods in construction ready to implement this project which will be the station to attract foreign and local capital communities for the purpose of establishment of different tourism projects that benefits the economic, social and humanitarian on Baghdad citizens , home to about six million people.
Shakir Aziz, President Investment Authority in Baghdad , demanded during the ceremony to lay the foundation stone , the Ministries of Health and Industry in collaboration with the Organization for the purpose of offering investment opportunities in the capital, according to Investment Law No. 13 of 2006. It should be noted that the company executing the project is a Al Ataba Co. while the investing company is Al Rafidian resort Co. and was granted by the investment for other projects earlier.
