In the framework of the Japanese allocated government loans and under the supervision of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Minister of Electricity of the Kurdistan Regional Government, His Excellency Mr. Yassin Abu Bakr, signed an agreement with the Lebanese company “Matelec”.

The project aims at erecting thirteen secondary mobile power plants that will distribute 25 MVA of electrical power, costing $ 20,747,000.
Post agreement signature, His Excellency announced that these stations are destined to assist the fixed secondary stations and the electrical transmission plants, and will be executed in a year’s timeframe in the three provinces in Kurdistan. He also explained that these mobile stations will organize the process of distribution of electricity among citizens.
